PHILIPS AVENT ISIS BREAST SHELLS SET: Comfort and protection
Ultra comfortable breast shells.
The ultrasoft breast shells are worn inside your bra to protect sore, cracked nipples from chafing and ease the pressure of engorgement before or during pumping or feeding.
A soft silicone cushion pads the ventilated inner shell, shielding your skin while pressing gently on the areola. The outer shell collects any released milk.
Protects Nipples Sore from Breastfeeding.
The Philips Avent ventilated shells protect sore or cracked nipples to help them heal more quickly. Their gentle pressure helps relieve engorgement. The holes allow air to circulate.
Collect Breast Milk During Nursing.
While you're nursing your little one or pumping for a future meal, you can place the breast shell against your other breast. Gentle pressure on the areola will cause a small amount of milk release, making you more comfortable. The outer shell has a spout for pouring collected milk into a bottle.
Release Milk Between Feedings
Breast shells can also be worn for a short time between feedings to relieve engorgement until you're able to pump or feed. Only milk collected while pumping or feeding should be fed to baby, as milk collected over a long period of time can spoil.
Care Instructions:
- Always sterilise before use, either in a Philips AVENT Steriliser, chemical solution or by boiling for 5 minutes.
- Breast shells should not be worn for more than 40 minutes at a time to avoid putting excessive pressure on milk ducts.
